Overview

Fragmen is reimagining how freelancers and remote teams track their work hours. For many, "attendance" still means manual Excel entries or rigid 9-to-5 clocks that don't fit the reality of deep-work sessions and asynchronous productivity.

The core philosophy is simple: Capture your flow, ignore the clock. Instead of worrying about "when" you started, Fragmen focuses on the cumulative value of your sessions throughout the day.

Fragmen is not a monitoring tool. We believe in trust, not surveillance. There are no screenshots, no activity tracking, and no "Big Brother" feeling—just a space to log your focused contribution.

Why Fragmen?

The project was born out of frustration with manual timesheets:

  1. Excel Fatigue — No more chasing cells or calculating formulas just to report your hours at the end of the week.
  2. Fragmented Workdays — Freelancers often work in bursts (e.g., 2 hours morning, 4 hours afternoon). Fragmen handles these "fragments" naturally.
  3. Flow-First Tracking — Check in when you're ready to produce, check out when you need a break. The system aggregates everything for you.

Core Features

The proposed system focuses on flexibility and cumulative tracking:

  1. Multi-Session Check-In/Out — Start and stop your work multiple times. Perfect for balancing project sessions with life.
  2. Daily Duration Goals — Instead of "late" or "early," see your progress toward a target goal (e.g., 8 hours).
  3. Modern Dashboard — A clean interface for both freelancers and managers to see total contribution at a glance, regardless of time zones.
  4. Async-Ready — No fixed start or end times. Work when you are most productive.
  5. No Surveillance — Employees are not watched. No activity monitoring or desktop tracking. Fragmen is a tool for workers, built on mutual trust.

Workflow Example

User Scenario Action Result
Deep Work Checks in at 02:00, Out at 04:30 Session 1: 2.5 hours. Total: 2.5/8h.
Afternoon Sprint Checks in at 08:00, Out at 12:00 Session 2: 4 hours. Total: 6.5/8h.
Final Polish Checks in at 14:00, Out at 15:30 Session 3: 1.5 hours. Total: 8/8h. Goal Met.

With a workflow like this, you can hit your daily targets earlier, allowing you to rest and go to sleep earlier without the weight of unfinished tasks looming over your evening.

Fragmen eliminates the administrative friction of time-tracking, turning a chore into a supportive tool for your best work.
